Clay Pot Birdbath

What You Need:

  • 1 or 2 eighth inch or larger Terra Cotta Clay Pots
  • 14 inch or larger Terra Cotta Clay Saucer
  • Rub on Decals, Paint or Stencils
  • FolkArt Outdoor Sealer, Gloss 8 oz.
  • Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive

 

Instructions (Birds will love this!)

  1. Clean all pieces with damp sponge and let dry.
  2. The decorating ideas are endless. You can base paint by sponging on two colors and then find a stencil, trace and paint it. Another option is to use simple rub-on decals.
  3. If using two pots, stack bottoms together as shown in the photo above and adhere using construction adhesive. If using one pot, place upside down so bottom of pot is facing up. Set the saucer on top and adhere with construction adhesive.
  4. Seal your terra cotta pot(s) well with outdoor sealer inside and out. Let dry.

Tip: Make sure you store your bird bath inside during cold weather months.
